Oh crap, do I have to start from the beginning?

Okay, so a week ago my sister borrowed a book forom her school's library. It was Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.

Well, I was intrigued, because my English class is taking up mythology, and basically that's what the [epic to the nth level] story is about.

Anyway, I read that book in about a couple of hours, and the next day my sister borrowed the second book; there are five in the saga. I had become hooked. I mean it, the story was awesome. It's second only to Harry Potter, and [forgive me if I offend] I think that Percy and his friends can own sparkly vampires any day. Okay, back to topic.

Soooooo... I spent the week plowing through four books.

Unfortunately, my sister couldn't borrow the last book, because someone had beat her to it. But ysterday there was a package on my bed (from my mom) and I felt like I was disintegrating on the spot when I saw that it was a plastic bag from Barnes and Noble. But then I remembered that if I died, I wouldn't get to see what was inside, so I stopped dying and started screaming (which probably got my neighbors very, VERY mad).

So now, I have the final book: The Last Olympian.

And at first, I only wanted to stare at it, I never wanted to open it. I just contented myself with sniffing in that new book smell (I do that, yes). I didn't want to read it, because if I did, then I knew that it would be all over after I flipped the last page. But I couldn't resist the book's call for very long. Soon, I was buried behind it.

And I finished it just as fast, which is pretty sad.

Now I'm wallowing in LBD [see title]. If you want a definition, then it's that weight on your gut that you get when something you've always adored comes to an end. Like a TV series, a movie... Whatever. You know, that little tiny voice in the back of your head saying \"Ohnoit'soverdamndamndamntheEEEEEEEND.\" It gets to be too much.

To sum it all up, I'm very, very, very sad now.

Plus, a movie of the first book is coming out on February 12, 2010!!!!!! I w00t! I swear, when that movie comes out, it's going to overshadow Edward whatever-his-last-name-is and Jacob insert-random-color-here. There are too many cute guys in PJatO. Too many, I say. And since the director will be Chris Colombus [director of 1st and 2nd Harry Potter flicks] then this is bound to be good. I've seen the trailer. Awesome A review on the book actually said that Percy was the next Harry Potter. I don't disagree at all. The book is totally cool.

Mount Olympus hovering above the Empire State Building? And the underworld being a thousand miles beneath Los Angeles? Oh, and Percy and his pals being half-human, half-Greek god. Almost missed that.

*sigh*

I'm trying to recuperate by finishing up my Ouran iPod series (which has had pretty good response, that makes me a bit happier ).

I'll probably get over this.

Nah, let's be honest. I won't.
